Die Heilige Birma - Standard

Körper: Die mittelgroße Katze hat einen kräftigen Knochenbau bei gut ausgebildeter Muskulatur. Der Körper
ist mittelschwer und leicht gestreckt. Die Beine sind kurz, die Pfoten breit und zart gerundet.
Der Schwanz ist mittellang, von eleganter Form und fedrig behaart.

Kopf: Der Schädel bildet idealerweise ein Dreieck mit abgerundeten Konturen. Die Wangenknochen sind hoch
gesetzt, die Wangen gut gerundet und die Stirn leicht gewölbt. Das Profil ist leicht geschwungen bei
mittellanger römischer Nase und ausgeprägtem Kinn.

Ohren: Die Ohren sind mittelgroß, ungefähr so hoch wie breit am Ansatz, mit leicht abgerundeten Spitzen und guter Breite zwischen den Ohren.

Augen: Die Augen sind tiefblau, groß, aber nicht ganz rund, sondern leicht oval. Sie sind weit auseinander plaziert.

Fell: Halblanges Fell mit seidiger Textur und ohne Unterwolle. Im Gesicht sind die Haare kurz, 
werden aber länger auf den Wangen und gehen in eine volle Halskrause über, die sich erst im Laufe der Entwicklung zeigt.

Fehler: Fehler, die zur Disqualifikation führen können, sind weiße Flecken außerhalb der Handschuhe und
Sporen sowie Teilpigmentierung des Nasenspiegels. Ebenso jede Neigung zum Schielen.
Schwerwiegende Fehler sind Handschuhe, die über ihre normale Form hinauslaufen (Runner), zu kurze 
Handschuhe, Bauchflecken (Flecken in der Pointfarbe auf der Körperunterseite) und Fehlen der Spitze
bei den Sporen. Leichte Flankenflecken und Streifen können toleriert werden. Die Gesamterscheinung darf insgesamt 
keine Ähnlichkeit mit der Perserkatze aufweisen, aber auch nicht in das andere Extrem verfallen und an 
eine Siamkatze erinnern.

 


Sacred Birman Breed Standard
General: A Birman is an extremely beautiful semi long haired cat.


Colour: Its colouring is very attractive, having pointing, i.e. intense colouring to the points, face, legs, ears and tail, and a pale toning body colour.
Eyes: The ideal Birman cat has wonderful blue eyes
Feet: The Birman has four pure white feet. The front gloves covering only the feet, but the rear socks extending up behind the leg to a long pointed gauntlet.


Body: The standard describes the body as being long and massive, with thick set medium length legs and short strong paws. The head is broad and rounded with well spaced medium size ears, the nose is medium in length with a slight dip in the profile, but without the stop seen in Persian cats.
Chin: The Birman chin should be well developed, and the eyes not round but with a slightly flattened top.


Character: Most Birmans are known as especially loving and affectionate, having been bred as companion cats for many generations. They love human company and take an intelligent interest in everything their human families do.

Birman cats come in twenty different colours, so there is bound to be at least one or two or even more, for you to fall in love with.

Naso: Di media lunghezza senza stop, ma con una leggera intaccatura
Mento: Consistente
Orecchie: Forma Abbastanza piccole con la punta arrotondata
Posizione: Leggermente inclinate, non troppo sulla sommità del cranio,ben distanziate
Occhi: Forma Leggermente ovale, non eccessivamente arrotondata
Colore: Blu profondo
Corpo: Struttura leggermente allungato. I maschi devono essere più massicci delle femmine.
Zampe: Corte e grosse
Piedi: Arrotondati
Guanti: I guanti devono essere di un bianco assolutamente puro. Devono fermarsi all’articolazione e cioè al punto di transizione tra dita e metacarpi, al di sopra dei quali non devono estendersi. Sulla faccia plantare delle zampe posteriori i guanti terminano a punta. Il guantaggio posteriore (detto gambaletto) ideale termina in "V" invertite e si estende da metà a tre quarti dello spazio tra piede e garretto. Guantaggi più bassi o più alti sono ammessi purchè non superino il garretto. E importante che i guanti siano della stessa lunghezza e mostrino una simmetria di bianco almeno tra le due zampe anteriori e le due posteriori, ancor meglio tra tutte e quattro.

Coda: Di media lunghezza, a pennacchio
Pelliccia: Struttura: Da lunga a semi-lunga, in armonia con le diverse parti del corpo Colore presenta tutte le caratteristiche conosciute nei gatti a punte colorate, ma tutti e quattro i piedi sono bianchi (guanti). Le punte devono essere uniformi ed in contrasto con il colore del corpo. Il colore del corpo e del ventre è guscio d’uovo molto pallido; il dorso è beige dorato in tutte le varietà. Solo negli adulti il colore dei point e del corpo sono completamente definiti

Difetti: Pelliccia * Bianco puro o macchie colorate sul torace o sul ventre
Difetti che precludono il certificato:
Naso: * Pigmentazione del naso incompleta
Zampe: * Risalita del bianco sui lati o sulla parte posteriore dei guanti, sia posteriori che anteriori (conosciuti come "lacci") * Assenza dei gambaletti sulle zampe posteriori
Pelliccia: * Macchie bianche sulle parti colorate e viceversa * Macchia bianca sui genitali
